About the finish
Two ranges live on this page: the vat-dyed colors of the 1990s (Veteran's card dates them 1995-2002) and the Dakota and Nasca grains BMW moved to from around 2003. Each color's era note says which is which.
Which colors suit your car
Jet Black and Titanium are the common 90s colors; Sand, Champagne and the Silver Grays belong to the lighter 90s interiors; Classic Red and Imola Red to the M cars. Naturbraun, Beige, Flannel Gray, Auburn, Gray, Creme Beige and Savanna Beige are the Dakota/Nasca-era colors of the E46 and later cars. Not sure which your car wore? Order a swatch first.

The color matches on this page are our best guesses, built from factory color charts and the supplier codes the restoration trade uses. They are not guaranteed to match your interior. Leather varies by batch, your original trim has aged, and printed color charts are approximate. We do not accept returns of cut leather because the color does not match your interior. That is exactly what samples are for: order a swatch of any color, hold it against your trim in daylight, and then order the leather.
