This kit includes one backrest pad and one cushion pad for a single front seat in your R107 SL — 1972–1973 350SL, 1973–1980 450SL or 1981–1985 380SL. Both pads are constructed from coconut fiber, manufactured to match the original factory specifications. Cars built from September 1985 onward use the 1985–1989 kit. European-market models (280SL, 300SL, 420SL, 500SL): contact us to confirm fit.
Compressed or deteriorated seat padding is the most common cause of poor seat comfort in vintage SLs — even with new upholstery, worn pads leave seats flat and unsupportive. This kit restores the original seat profile and feel.
